About this website

Why Bother?

I got tired of getting the "run around" regarding my Alden 401K plan, and decided to do something about it.

I contacted some former employees, to see if they had similar problems.  I found out a lot of us had similar problems.  There was a need to share info, so I decided to "publish on the internet".

Originally, I wrote:

"A lot of talented people worked very hard to build the company.  Unfortunately, it only took a handful of people to totally dismantle it.  A lot of hard feelings and broken promises remain Most of the loyal employees that remained there to the end have not been paid, and probably won't Absolutely criminal.

Not only did the former owners screw their employees out of a paycheck, they also made life difficult for all former employees that had 401K plans. It took me less time to build this web site than I've spent on the phone trying to "roll my 401K" over.  As there are a lot of former employees in the same boat, I decided to share whatever I could find out.

So the purpose of this site is to share info, contacts, memories (both good and bad) and do some networking.

The damage has been done.  It's time to rebuild and get reacquainted.  If you have an idea or something to submit such as articles, pictures, etc. don't hesitate to contact me, or better yet,
post it in the forum. "

What happened next was unbelievable.

I started hearing from former employees that I had not seen in years (even a few I never worked with). Suddenly, there was talk of a reunion party.

The website has now taken on a life of it's own.  It's due to the great people who worked at Alden.

It's ironic that the same company that "taught me the Web" is still alive because of it.
